The past decade witnessed the banking industry change significantly, with the growing adoption of new and modern ways of carrying out transactions. Driven by the growing expectations of customers and evolving technologies, the banking industry today ensures a smooth experience to the users through mobile banking. Further, as consumers increasingly demand self-service, customization, and immediate assistance, banks seek to leverage technological innovations to improve the experience they offer to their customers and retain them in the long run. A company that helps banks deliver such experiences is Alty that enables them to deploy advanced, cutting-edge platforms.
Established in 2009, Alty is a forward-looking app design and development company focused on delivering simple and unique solutions to its clients across various sectors. The company’s specialization, however, lies in assisting fintech startups and banks through their journey of providing a direct channel to their customers to manage their accounts, make transfers, and much more. The company revamps clients existing applications or develops new mobile or web solutions as per their specific requirements to help deliver seamless experiences to the users.
Alty has supported many banks, starting from PrivatBank, the biggest retail bank in Ukraine to Monobank, the fastest growing neo bank in the world
“Most banks already have apps and choose to manage back-end in-house. Hence, we usually work on the front-end and the design part, and that’s where our expertise lies,” says Leonid Gorev, CEO of Alty.
While onboarding new clients, the team at Alty first develops an understanding of their requirements and objectives. This involves asking questions such as ‘who they are revamping their app for,’ ‘what kind of tasks do their users employ their app for,’ and ‘what are their business goals?’ After the discovery phase where they obtain the answers to these and several other questions, the company matches the clients’ objectives with the creative representation of different features within the app to ensure a user-friendly experience to their customers.
After the discovery phase, a prototype is created to show the user flow and how the features will be built. The research phase takes from a month to three months to complete, depending on the domain complexity, and thereafter, the development process commences.
For over ten years since its inception, Alty has supported many banks, starting from PrivatBank, the biggest retail bank in Ukraine to Monobank, the fastest growing neo bank in the world. Alty has been working mutually with PrivatBank for almost eight years, having completed 30+ different projects in collaboration with them.
Privat24 for business is one of these projects and the most prominent Ukrainian online bank for entrepreneurs and companies. On top of that, Privat24 was offering more than 50 products out of which only three were utilized, it was imperative for them to create an interface that hides additional products to reduce the complexity. To resolve this issue, Alty came on board with an idea of creating a marketplace with different functions where any customer could easily add any specific to their activity function to the main stack.
Alty also created a seamless user experience for mobile application for Monobank that allows people to open a bank account and make the best use of all the banking services without a single visit to the bank.
Having worked with a multitude of reputed banks in Ukraine and other countries, Alty has become a top service company in the banking and fintech landscape. Going forward, the company aims to expand to other markets for new challenges and interesting projects. “Further, as part of our expansion plan, we are going to expand our footprint to the United States this year as it is an interesting and challenging market for us to explore,” concludes Goriev.
